The 3rd and 4th graders are learning about the states that make up the region of the southeast. Today was a perfect day to "travel" to the state of Louisiana and learn about Mardi Gras.

Today in English, the 5, 6, and 7th grades all had different activities focused around Matdi Gras. Some reaserched, some worked on comprehension, and everyone learned something new! 5th grade pictured

Today our Student Council president, Megan, and vice president, Anna, went with Ms. Tomlin to the A.R.K. in Lacon to present them with a donation from our Penny Wars. We ended up raising $839.33! The winning class was the 3rd/4th grade! They will be enjoying an ice cream party on Monday! Thanks again for all of the donations that made our Penny Wars such a success! Go Jaguars!
Our 7th Graders took a trip to PND yesterday for Blue, Green, and White Day!
Today Mr. Toman (Paul) delivered the bars of soap and monetary donations to Karen from the HOI Blue Star Mothers. The care packages will be leaving with 139 members of the Air Guard unit out of Bartonville later this month and given out to deployed service members. Thank you again for your generosity!
The 8th Graders practiced their geometry skills by finding the surface area and volume of different shaped desserts. Of course they had to sample all the desserts afterwards! Who knew math could be so delicious!! 🍰 🎂

Another Dustin Hawley tournament in the books! A great job and congratulations to all the teams that played. Everyone played, played hard, and played fair. A special congratulations goes out to our winners! St. Marys of Kickapoo took home our 3rd place trophy. St. Thomas had a hard fought game and took home 2nd place. And our championship trophy, which wasn't easy to earn, was won by St. Philomena, in overtime!! Thank you to all eho came out to watch and help and we cannot wait to do it again!
