St. Edward students model their dedication to community service each and everyday. Students enjoy helping others in their community. Each school year classes at St. Edward Catholic School choose service projects to participate in throughout their community. Students also make cards for area shut-ins and the 5th - 8th grade classes attended mass monthly at Heritage Manor, the local nursing home in Chillicothe, IL. Throughout the year students also participate in various activities to support charities such as St. Jude Children Research, Relay for Life, and Juvenile Diabetes to name a few.
4. Continued Education
In a Catholic school, a child will be encouraged to further his or her education. The total number of Catholic high school graduates who continue their education is approximately 97 percent. Graduates of St. Edward School typically go onto to become valedictorians and salutatorians in their high schools.
